A recognition of two distinct restaurants, shaped by seasonality, locality, and a contemporary interpretation of Greek gastronomy across Santorini and the Peloponnese.

At the Athens Conservatory, this year’s FNL Best Restaurant Awards marked ten years of celebrating the evolving landscape of Greek gastronomy, a moment that reflects both continuity and change within the industry.

 

We are proud to announce that Alati Restaurant in Santorini, located at Vedema, a Luxury Collection Resort, and Aspasia Restaurant in Stavri Mani were awarded FNL Stars, a distinction that recognises consistency, clarity of concept, and a strong culinary identity.

Recognised in the category of Modern Greek Cuisine, Alati Restaurant unfolds within a restored 400-year-old canava, offering a dining experience deeply connected to the history and atmosphere of Santorini. Under the direction of Executive Chef Rafail Tsakiris, the restaurant presents an elevated interpretation of Greek gastronomic tradition, rooted in authenticity, seasonality, and the culinary culture of the Aegean. Drawing inspiration from recipes and flavors embedded in memory, Alati brings together refined technique and a genuine sense of Greekness within a setting shaped by the island’s timeless character.

Awarded in the category of Modern Bistro, Aspasia Restaurant located in Stavri village, Peloponnese, retained its FNL Star, reflecting the richness and simplicity of Mani’s culinary heritage through a contemporary and thoughtful approach. Led by Stavriani Zervakakou, the restaurant is guided by locality, seasonality, and a strong connection to place, presenting a cuisine that feels grounded.
